Christopher Makos and Paul Solberg have published this limited edition pigment print to mark ten years together as collaborative artists. Makos and Solberg began collaborating while traveling. Finding that they were both drawn to similar subject matter when they were out in foreign, beautiful locations, they began to shoot the same subjects. Back in the studio, looking at the printed results it was fascinating for them to see where their sensibilities merged and diverged. The idea of identity, who took which picture, and why was the difference discernable, was the starting point. During this ten-year investigation into collaborative artwork Makos and Solberg have produced eight limited edition print portfolios, four books, and numerous video projects in New York, Europe, and Asia.
Untitled 2015 is the latest example of Makos and Solberg at work together, employing their most recent compositional style of combining signature images. Untitled 2015 is a quiet visual meditation on the experiences of sharing, travel and creative imagination over time.
